As an American Jew devoted to Judaism, I ask one thing:
Please stop calling Israel a “Jewish state.”
Call it a Zionist state.
Call it Herzl’s project.
Call it whatever you want but do not place the name of an entire religion on a political entity.

Israelis are appropriating ourJewish name to justify ongoing war.
We reject that misuse.
Our tradition stands for peace, not conflict.
As taught in the Torah , we are commanded to pursue peace and to value every human being as part of G-d’s creation.

Zionist Aggression: A Rebellion Against the Divine.
Waging war violates the Decree of Exile and endangers Jews worldwide.
True Judaism is the Path of Peace.
The destruction of the Rafie Nia Synagogue in Tehran by Zionist strikes is the ultimate proof that Zionism is the enemy of Judaism.
They claim to protect Jews, yet they bomb a holy place of worship where Jews have lived in peace for generations.
This isn’t about safety. It’s about a secular nationalist agenda.
They destroy sanctuaries to fuel their wars.
🇮🇷 Iran is home to one of the largest Jewish populations in the Middle East outside Israel.
This rarely makes headlines.
In cities like Tehran and Isfahan, Jewish communities that have lived in Persia for over 2,700 years continue to pray for peace for their country.
They have synagogues, schools, practice Judaism, and even hold a reserved seat in parliament.
Israel bombed the Rafie Nia Synagogue in Tehran.
Yes, you read that right. Israel bombed a synagogue. In Iran.
Most Americans probably didn't know that there are ~100 synagogues in Iran, 30 of which are in Tehran.
Torah: The Only True Bond of the Jewish People
The Jewish people are connected only by their G-d-given obligation to follow the Torah and the theology that comes with it.
That is the entirety of Jewish peoplehood.
Without this foundation, the very concept of the Jewish people ceases to exist.
The idea of a Jewish "nationality" is a modern Zionist invention.
Anti-Zionist Orthodox Jews do not believe the Jews are a nationality, ethnicity, or race, our identity is defined solely by our spiritual covenant.

Jews are a religion, not a political nation.
Zionism didn't "restore" our identity, it fabricated a new one rooted in soil rather than Spirit.
A deep dive into why land of Israel is G-d’s Palace, not a nationalist playground.

NEW
Netanyahu says during the Iran war:
“We will make it to the return of the Messiah.”
Using messianic language to justify political wars is not Judaism.
Jewish belief in redemption is sacred not a tool for Zionist propaganda.
Zionism is a modern political movement created by human ideology.
Judaism is an ancient faith rooted in the eternal covenant between G-d and the Jewish people.
The two should never be confused.
Rabbi Aaron Jacabowich reminded us.
🚨 Netanyahu says Israel is becoming a “regional power” and even a “global power.”
Power, domination, and military supremacy are not Jewish values.
Judaism teaches humility before G-d, not the pursuit of empire.
Over 𝟏𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐉𝐞𝐰𝐬 attended this event where Satmar Grand Rabbi Aron Teitelbaum declared:
“We have no part in Zionism.
We have no part in the State of Israel.
We will continue to oppose Zionism in the name of our faith.”
A reminder that Judaism and Zionism are not the same.
BREAKING
Netanyahu says: “We will reach the Kingdom. We will make it to the return of the Messiah.”
Our response:
Redemption does not come through politicians, armies, or nationalist ideology.
Don’t weaponize Judaism to justify a your political actions
PUBLIC STATEMENT
Regarding Israeli Military Action Against Iran
The Voice of Rabbis issues the following declaration:
The recent military operations conducted by the State of Israel are strictly political and governmental maneuvers.
They do not represent the Jewish people, nor are they sanctioned by the Holy Torah. Authentic Judaism is a covenant of Divine service and the sanctity of human life; the Torah does not authorize the waging of war under the banner of the Jewish name.
The true protection of the Jewish nation rests solely upon Divine Providence, not upon the fleeting strength of human weaponry or secular military power.
We categorically reject the claim of those who call themselves the “Jewish State” to act on behalf of world Jewry.
For two millennia, the Jewish people have lived in exile by Divine decree, guided by a tradition of patience and peaceful conduct among the nations.
We pray for de-escalation, for the protection of all innocent lives, and for the day when true peace will prevail throughout the world, as the Prophet declares:
“I will banish bow and sword and war from the land, and I will let them lie down in safety.”
(Hosea 2:20)
Rabbi Abraham Silberstein
Senior Rabbi, Voice of Rabbis
Netanyahu is in no way a “Jewish leader.”
He does not speak for the Jewish people, nor does he embody our faith or our values.
Jews do not “belong” to the state of Israel.
The Jewish people are a religious community, living among many nations across the globe.
The State of Israel is not synonymous with the Jews, and Zionism is not a definition of Judaism.
May G-D safeguard all innocent lives and bring lasting peace throughout His world.
Happy Purim!

The Jewish people are inherently a peaceful people.
Our intrinsic traits and values are compassion, kindness and respect for every single human being.
For as since we’ve become a people, our only mission was to serve GD, cleave towards Him, and spread His Holy Name around the world.
To say that a modern entity, created by mortal atheists somehow represents GD’s people of the book, is not only a colossal lie but also an identity theft at its finest.
May we all have a Simchas Purim and a Simchas Tumid!!
