Israeli tourists targeted a Palestinian-owned cafe in Keflavik, Iceland, after expressing hostility towards Palestinian artwork displayed inside the business.

Video footage from inside Lava Sweets & Cafe shows the group threatening and verbally abusing a staff member before trying to forcibly remove Palestinian artwork from the wall.

The cafe announced that the incident took place on 15 August and described it as an intimidation attempt and a clear threat against the business and its staff.

The cafe also said its Google reviews were subsequently targeted in an attempt to damage its rating and reputation.

The cafe has called on Icelandic police and authorities to take such threats seriously.

The business said it should not become normal for people to enter Iceland, threaten and harass others, and act as though they are above the law.

I have no frame of reference, I can't compare it to the sentiments of US soldiers in previous conflicts. But I suspect these are new sentiments, or at least a new willingness to express them this openly and directly.

But as one serviceman told me: "What people in the media don't understand when they compare past conflicts to this one, is this operation has no morale behind it. That makes a world of difference to service members deployed to undesirable locations indefinitely."

Read that last part again: No morale. Deployed to undesirable locations INDEFINITELY.

My own conclusion: When a war has no morale behind it, winning means that you simply end it. There is no other "winning" in such an unjust war.
