All jokes aside, this is my fair warning to UT fans (and everyone else) in town for the game.

I read the arrest reports every morning and there's something you need to know about our local police force. There is almost zero tolerance here.

If you smell like weed, that's probable cause. If you're under 21 with tobacco, same thing. THC vape pens will land you in jail. The smallest amounts of marijuana will also land you behind bars. This isn't Austin.

If you're caught giving a minor a sip of alcohol, you'll end up in jail.

Don't park in places you shouldn't park and if you're parking in a pay-to-park spot, know there are 'spotters' who are watching and will have a tow truck there in 3.5 seconds if you leave without paying.

I see a lot of arrests for disorderly conduct and offensive gestures. Don't drink and drive, and if you're caught stumbling around with vomit on your shirt, you'll be picked up for Public Intox.

I hope you enjoy your time in Aggieland, have fun, be rowdy, and go wild, but this is my fair warning that our local police are out in full force this weekend.

I'm just trying to save you the headache and bail money.
