An attack on a synagogue, a church, or a mosque is an attack on the very conscience of our society. Statement of Condolence on the Death of Pope Francis

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis. Throughout his life, Pope Francis sought to serve the poor and vulnerable, demonstrating immense sympathy for those suffering under the heavy weight of warfare, persecution, and injustice. He was a man of compassion, humility, and faith who strived to build bridges between people of different faiths and beliefs.

During his Papacy, Pope Francis received representatives of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community with warmth and grace at the Vatican, for which we will always be grateful.

On behalf of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, I extend our sincere condolences to the Catholic Church and its members around the world.

Oct 7th, when 36 Israeli children inc one infant were brutally murdered, is rightly commemorated. World leaders condemned it, films were made so it would never be forgotten, the Israeli flag was displayed on public buildings across the globe.

March 18th, when 130 Palestinian children were massacred in their sleep, just a mile away, hasn’t even made the front pages. It’s just another day in Gaza.

The UK 🇬🇧 Govt has the tools therefore to act and initiate immediate Human rights sanctions , against the tyranny of TLP and its leaders, banning them from travel and freezing of their assets @DavidLammy @HFalconerMP @Lord_Collins @ukinpakistan @DavidAltonHL and also make direct calls to the Pakistan 🇵🇰 government to protect Ahmadies and indeed all 🇵🇰 citizens of all faiths, from religious bigotry and tyranny.

@patrioticpoetUK I struggle to believe this, as I am aware that the CoE primary education framework and curriculum covers lent in RE, PSHE and during collective worship. If your child is not being taught about lent, then that is a failure of the school leadership - nothing to do with the Muslims
