[Geoffrey M. Kitakule @GKitakule]

My visit to Tooro and @ObukamaBwaTooro remains a cherished memory, marked by the warmth of its people, the friendships we shared, the weather and the rich heritage of service I encountered.

With that personal connection, I warmly congratulate Akiiki @toorokingdompm Amstrong upon his reappointment as Interim Prime Minister of @ObukamaBwaTooro. May you continue to uphold the Baragirakiki legacy of service and leadership.

I also congratulate the young and energetic Omubiito Abooki @katocypben Rwakatale upon his reappointment as Deputy Head of the Babiito Royal Clan.

May God grant you both wisdom, strength and grace as you serve.

Happiest Birthday to you @nichobob 🥂

Enjoy your day.

Some mornings, @Rotary reminds you why the little things matter.

While at Komamboga Health Centre III, @RcKisaasiKyanja stood alongside families, helping to protect more than 200 babies through immunisation and supporting over 200 expectant mothers with Mama Kits for safer, more dignified motherhood.

Behind every number is a mother hoping for a safe delivery, and a child whose future is just beginning.

That is the beauty of service. Sometimes, saving the future starts with protecting one little life today.

As a Physician, I have seen the worry in a mother’s eyes when care is far away, and the relief when that care is finally within reach.
While at the @UgandaMediaCent , I joined @KampalaSouth as they marked 14 years of bringing healthcare closer to rural communities, especially the people of Kikandwa.

From maternity wards and immunisation to ultrasound, water and power, five health facilities have become places where mothers can deliver safely, children can receive care, and families can find hope closer to home.

My heartfelt gratitude to every Rotarian and partner who has sustained this journey. This is how Rotary changes lives, one community at a time.

14 years. Five health facilities. Thousands of mothers and children reached. 💙

Today at the Uganda Media Centre, the Rotary Club of Kampala South marked 14 years of maternal and child health work across rural Uganda. Since 2012, we have helped turn small dispensaries into working health centres, with maternity wards, dental units, staff quarters, water and power.

At our flagship, Kikandwa Health Centre III, the numbers so far this year: 417 ultrasound scans, 581 child immunisations and 153 antenatal visits by mid-2026.

We were honoured to be joined by Dr. Charles Olaro, Director General Health Services, Ministry of Health, and our District Governor, Rtn. @dgrotaryd9213 . Representing Kampala South were our President Rtn. @FranKakooza1 , CEO Rtn. Innocent Agaba, Rtn. Dr. @rkkkalungi and Rtn. @comfortthales , among others.

A special thank you to Mr. @kasujja , Executive Director of the Uganda Media Centre, for opening the doors and making today's press briefing possible. We truly appreciate your support. 🙏🏾

Thank you to the Government of Uganda and all our partners who have walked this journey with us.

Happy Birthday, @GKitakule 🎉

Today we celebrate not just another year of your life, but the impact you continue to make on the people around you. Your time as District Governor was truly admirable, the way you balanced leadership, work, family and everything else, while still making it all look almost effortless, was inspiring.

May this new year open even more spaces for you to lead, inspire, encourage and change lives. You are a wonderful example of what purposeful leadership can look like, and you are certainly worth celebrating.

Wishing you a beautiful year ahead, filled with greater opportunities, joy, fulfilment and many more reasons to smile. Happy Birthday once again! 🥂

A major #throwback to a day that had fulfilled moments. 🙌🏾

The 10th Edition of the Rotary 5-A-Side Football Tournament was absolutely brilliant, sold-out registration, packed energy, and beautiful football all day at @kqprimaryschool

Even better? Our District Governor @dgrotaryd9213 was with us, and he's locked in for the Southern Independence Boat Cruise on October 9th. If leadership is committing, you know it's real.

Big thanks to everyone who showed up that day and caught the buzz around the boat cruise.

Tickets are moving, if you promised yours, hit up our team before they're gone.

See you at the lake. 🚤
