I cannot say enough positive things about this movie- I think it’s a little better than Uncut Gems.

now that the adrenaline has worn off, i do have one issue with ody. odysseus is originally much more complex. i liked how the film explored his guilt, yet i wish it also highlighted his cruel and cunning side. the nuance that achaeans thrive in moral grayness is lacking here.

And is recognized by his faithful dog Atgos but does not give away his disguise. The dog dies knowing he has once again seen his master. The whole of the work is amazing and spellbinding.
"Argos was a loyal hunting dog that Odysseus raised from a puppy. After Odysseus left for the Trojan War and his long journey home (20 years total), Argos was neglected and grew old and frail. When Odysseus finally returned to Ithaca disguised as a beggar, Argos was the first (and only animal) to immediately recognize him—wagging his tail weakly in joy despite being too feeble to approach. Odysseus couldn't openly acknowledge him to maintain his disguise, and Argos died peacefully moments later, having waited faithfully his whole life."
