Israeli intelligence sources have accused Vice President JD Vance of leaking a Mossad plan to use Kurdish forces against Iran to Turkish President Erdogan.
The leak was intended to help Erdogan reach US President Trump in time to stop the operation before it could be carried out.

.@WarintheFuture: "According to figures from Russia Matters and the Ukrainian General Staff, Russia suffered 200 casualties for each square mile taken in 2025. But, in the first five months of 2026 with a net gain of 17 square miles, it suffered over 9600 casualties for each. In the past three months, the capture of territory has moved in Ukraine’s favour." https://t.co/ChbQoHyzvR
Putin does not want peace. Thats why the West must help Ukraine attain the weapons they need and to put crippling sanctions on Russia. Putin needs to feel the pain and realize combat gains are hopeless. The U.S. House took action last week.
@RepClayHiggins Have your chief of staff read this to you, and please comment. Is it okay for Russia to fire cruise missiles at children’s chemo wards? Just asking. Fill us in. Good luck w/ the reelection thing. https://t.co/B1lDHvQCFR
This is Congressman Don Bacon (NE-2) speaking in favor of passing the Ukraine Support Act. He is only 1 of 18 Republicans in the House who were brave enough to defy Trump and Speaker Johnson and do the right thing.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has stalled so Putin bombs Ukrainian cities every night. The President’s negotiations have failed & we’ve done little to help Ukraine defend itself over the last year and a half. The time to act is now. Sending defensive weapons also tells Putin he cannot win. Weakness incites him to continue the war.

Yesterday evening, the House passed a landmark and bipartisan aid package for Ukraine.
The message we’re sending to Putin is that we stand with Ukraine. We stand with them in a bipartisan way, and we’re going to continue to stand with the Ukraine until they defeat Vladimir Putin. 🇺🇲 🇺🇦
On Thursday, I voted for the Ukraine Support Act, one of only 18 Republicans who sided with Democrats in the House to advance aid for Ukraine and strengthen sanctions on Russia. The bill passed the House by a vote of 226-195 and provides critical support for Ukraine's recovery and defense while increasing pressure on Russia's financial and energy sectors. Supporting our allies and standing up to authoritarian aggression remains an important American interest.
Unfortunately, the Russian side once again chooses war – everyone heard the response today. Weak response. He simply does not want to end the war.
I think many around the world were disappointed by that response. He does not want to change anything, and he does not want to admit that this war appeals only to him – and to those who are making money off him. They were all smiling very broadly today.
That means Russia must have less money, and there must be more pressure on Russia.
I thank everyone who is helping us. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine and wants a real peace.
GOOD NEWS: The House just passed a bill to support the Ukrainian people and sanction Putin's brutal regime.
Standing with Ukraine makes America — and the world — a safer place.
The Senate must pass this bipartisan bill without delay.
Tonight, I join my Ukrainian American constituents in celebrating the passage of the Ukraine Support Act🇺🇦, which provides military aid to Ukraine and sanctions Putin and Russia for their unlawful aggression.
Putin is counting on America to grow tired, divided, and distracted.
Tonight, the House answered with unity and resolve.
Following the successful bipartisan discharge petition I was proud to help lead, we have passed the Ukraine Support Act—comprehensive legislation to deliver critical support to Ukraine, impose further sweeping sanctions on Russia, and hold Putin accountable for his illegal war of terror.
Ukraine is fighting for its sovereignty and survival, but the stakes do not stop at Ukraine’s borders. Standing with Ukraine is a matter of American security, allied strength, and moral clarity. It tells the world that tyranny will not be met with hesitation, retreat, or silence.
From the start, I have worked to ensure America’s policy is rooted in peace through strength. This legislation gives force to that principle.
Tonight, the House stood on the side of freedom.
Now, the Senate must do the same.
@RepKiley@Morning_Joe Thank you for your vote on the Ukraine Support Act! russia is a cancer of the world and the faster we devastate it's economy, the faster their terrorism and collaboration with Islamists terrorists stops!
Read Russia and Dugin's words for yourself. They want to destroy the West, not restore it. @ryanmauro put it all together in this article:

Every dollar that reaches Putin’s war machine makes this war harder to end.
Since Russia launched its illegal war against Ukraine, I have worked to tighten the economic vise on Moscow, target the industries sustaining its aggression, and close the gaps that allow the Kremlin to keep profiting while Ukraine keeps fighting.
At today’s Ways & Means hearing, I pressed Treasury Secretary Bessent on the recent sanctions waiver extension involving Russian oil, whether our sanctions are strong enough, and Treasury’s readiness to implement tougher measures, including my Peace Through Strength Against Russia Act—which calls for a 500% tariff on Russian imports, and products from any country that continues financing their war machine.
Peace through strength means using American economic power to raise the cost of aggression, defend freedom, and help secure a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.
