@knawmeen @europa So if Big Pharma spends years studying the med(s) in controlled trials, which cost $$$, they are damned for how long and how much. And if they don’t do the trials, but quickly get it to market, then you will damn them for not doing the studies??

@bflynnusa @MattTestifies 2/2 - which likely came from his study of the Bible and Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and many other prophets. Again, I am not trying to excuse it, but I understand where he came from.
If all you have is dishonesty about polygamy, well… yeah… I get it! He wasn’t perfect!

@bflynnusa @MattTestifies The polygamy thing is difinately a difficult thing for both those in and out of the church. I won’t make excuses for it because I wasn’t there. Based on research, I believe JS was doing what he felt God wanted him to do to restore the church to its original state. 1/2

And we are so in love with this doctrine! Knowing that we actually have a father and mother in heaven who are invested in us is life changing!

Look, I get that we disagree on what “God” looks like. Our doctrine of the Godhead is rooted in the scriptures as well. We just interpret those same passages differently.

@bflynnusa @MattTestifies One thing I have never found in my study of Joseph Smith is an attempt to deceive. He was probably one of the most honest people you would find, according to just about any trustworthy source. The overwhelming evidence is that he was anything but what you are suggesting.

If you are going to judge a prophet by perfection, you will have to throw out about 90% of the Old Test! You could find plenty to ague about in the New Test, as well… they are all far from perfect!

@bflynnusa @MattTestifies … Son of the Father. Jesus Christ (under His Father’s direction) created the earth. I could quote you many scriptures that back up this foundational doctrine, but it wouldn’t matter because you would interpret those scriptures differently.

@bflynnusa @MattTestifies Technically, us becoming gods is not core doctrine - more of a theory. Our core doctrine is that we have a Father in Heaven (Elohim, God the Father) and we are his spirit children - he created our spiritual bodies. Jesus Christ (Jehovah, God the Son) is the Only Begotten ½
