@brianjholman Simple isn't better. We have simple models for the atom, but that doesn't make it better than our more complex models. The godhead model isn't necessarily simpler or better. It creates new questions as well like what is "Divine investiture"?

@John_Stone_ @MormonDisc Dan Vogel used the term "pious fraud" to explain Joseph Smith's behavior. Joseph thought it was okay to lie in order to bring people (in his view) closer to god. Once I saw this line of reasoning at work, I noticed it has infiltrated the core of Mormon apologetics to this day.
