The EU should reconsider the privileges granted to non members.

Eurosceptics point to Norway or Iceland as proof that countries can thrive outside the EU, while ignoring that they already have one foot in the EU system through the EEA. Being outside the EU should mean normal trade agreements, not near membership without membership.

Otherwise, we weaken the very incentive to join the Union.

Iceland is a great country. It’s also not a sovereign country.

Not even 400k population, dependent on imports, no army, and completely dependent on Europe and the US for defence.

The problem is that the US is no longer interested in protecting its allies. It’s only interested in conquest, domination and extortion. One of these days they’ll look at Iceland, decide they’d like to take it for themselves, and that’ll be that.

Iceland’s one way to remain independent as it has been so far it would have been to join the EU. A brotherhood of equals without submission.

But Iceland chose to not even try and negotiate EU accession. Maybe they could’ve gotten a great deal. Now they’ll never know.

It was a legitimate choice which Europe will always respect, because Europe respects. It was also a stupid choice that will lead to the end of Iceland as an independent nation.

Every day, the Muslim Brotherhood-led Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) conduct airstrikes on hospitals, schools, churches, and mosques, destroying 86% of them. Why does the world refuse to protest or condemn these atrocities? Why aren't there cries of "From the river to the land, Sudan will be free" or "Free, free Sudan"? Do those students even know where Sudan is? How about "Black Lives Matter," "Africa matters," or "Muslim lives matter"? Sudan embodies all of these causes, yet it receives zero attention, allowing Muslim Brotherhood terrorists leading the army to kill people daily.
