Shall we broach the really hard topic yet @ChrisMinnsMP@AlboMP@nswpolice should have had access to the attacker’s ASIO watchlist status. Him or his father. And like the John Edward’s case, instead of a Firearms Prohibition Order, they got given a firearms license instead.
Do you really think another technical gun law change would have extinguished the hate in this family’s heart?
Isn't the bigger question how someone with links to ISIS at the age of 18 had a father with half a dozen licensed firearms (potentially in the same household?) ?
That seems more like an intelligence and law enforcement failure, not one of our gun control legislation.

Let's not pretend that $11k a week jobs for bikkies is exceptional.
There are 'traffic controllers' earning $200k a year.
All government projects are rorts.
How else do tradies buy new $80k trucks every year?
Why else are there brothels propped up all over the place?
The whole thing stinks.
It's an insult to hardworking locals paying for this BS.
Labor's crying crocodile tears for our aluminium and steel jobs over US taxes (ie tariffs).
Meanwhile Labor has imposed a more than $5 billion carbon tax (ie "safeguard mechanism") on the same aluminium and steel industries to get to net zero by 2050.
If Labor really cared, just remove the carbon tax!
