Wike’s Gubernatorial Choice Hon. Chinda In A Big Twist;
— APC may not have a gubernatorial candidate in Rivers in 2027
Rivers State politics is gradually turning into one of the biggest political dramas ahead of 2027.
The legal battle surrounding Kingsley Chinda’s emergence as the APC governorship candidate may create a deeper constitutional crisis for the party in Rivers State if not urgently addressed.
Here is the major question political observers are asking:
How can a serving Minority Leader of the House of Representatives under the PDP suddenly emerge as APC governorship candidate while still occupying a leadership position meant for an opposition party member?
According to reports, lawyers have already approached the Federal High Court in Abuja, challenging his participation in the APC primary and seeking his disqualification from the 2027 governorship election.
The suit reportedly argues that:
• Chinda’s alleged movement from PDP to APC did not comply with provisions of the Electoral Act.
• His continued stay as Minority Leader raises questions about dual party affiliation.
• His House of Representatives seat could even face legal scrutiny if defection procedures were not properly followed.
If the courts eventually rule against him, APC could face a major political setback in Rivers State, especially considering the tension already surrounding the state’s political structure.
One thing is becoming clear:
The Rivers political crisis is far from over.
With Wike’s camp, Fubara’s camp, APC interests, PDP loyalists and multiple legal battles all colliding at once, 2027 may become one of the most dramatic governorship contests in Nigeria’s recent political history.
I said iTemu PDP Chairman, Tanimu Turaki was sleeping with Hafsat Najeeb Husseini, his friend's wife.
I said he lied to the police against his friend, Saidu Mohammed Mainasara.
I also he was charged to court for lying to the Police.
I stand by all these.

"Tinubu has no business seeking a second term tenure because he has failed miserably in protecting lives and properties. People are being killed daily but he is showing an " I don't care attitude. If we didn't vote him out in 2027, we will regret it."

@thatabujagirl@Morris_Monye Dont you think that more important these thngs speak to the decay and disdain most ordinary Nigerians have for politicians to celebrate these things?
I think what I get from all of this scuffle between Nyesom Wike and the military is how much Nigerians loathe these politicians - and how fragile this democracy is. It is well-deserved. Wike is scum.
But then, Nigeria's priorities are skewed in favor of the boll weevils and termites in agbada. Visiting Nigeria this summer, I was taken by how the police and military personnel are mostly deployed to protect the rich and the corrupt and the criminal (yahoo boys travel with a full convoy of heavily armed policemen). They are basically help in uniform.
There is an uncontained insurgency in many parts of Nigeria, kidnappers are literally making a killing, people are being killed for their religious beliefs, churches and temples are being destroyed and burned down, yet our 250,000 strong military and 350,000 strong police force are deployed as house help to the rich and powerful. That should be our focus!
Nigerians need to stand up for themselves. This is out of control. Doing night vigil in church, repairing to pepper soup joints for catfish peppersoup and Gulder and praying and hoping that other people's children will come from America to save you from Wike et al is not a strategy. These evil people are fighting over things that they stole from you. Fight them back.
Till all nigerian come out and condemn the Way Nyesom Wike spoke to the officer who has taken an out to give his life fighting for this country is difficult to watch
