Big players are rewarded for hype, obscuring failure & moving fast rather than building truly intelligent systems

The real grift lies in marketing the technology as something it is not (sentient, reasoning, AGI) to extract capital from those who don't understand the technical limits of the systems, that they fail all definitions of intelligence

@humantransit @mattyglesias You could also argue that there is latent demand for transit that could be tapped into IF we increased frequency, that many people choose not to take transit because it isn’t frequent enough to make it convenient for them

To increase service/frequency, I assume many transit systems need to see more demand/revenue. How do we improve this? Do you think perhaps the argument about security is that there is latent demand that would take transit more if they “felt” safe or more comfortable. There also seems to be a lack of fare enforcement which I imagine feeds the revenue problem
