I turned one of my favourite little interactions from my portfolio into a free Framer component.

Arrange My Desk is an interactive desk section where visitors can drag the objects around and make the space their own.

I originally built it for my portfolio because I wanted my About section to feel a little more like me, rather than just another block of text and images. After seeing people recreate and clone my GitHub component, I decided to turn it into something anyone can easily use in Framer as well.

You can customise the objects, layout and content to make it fit your own site.

Framer setup tip:
Set the component width to Fill and use around 700px height on desktop / 580px on mobile.

In 2023, I only offered two services.
Web design and web development.

However, many clients who approached me asked for branding as well. Those days, I never believed I will become a brand strategist & an identity designer, I remember I even laughed when my partner said that I could try it.

Yet I started learning, to prove that I can't do it, so I can move away. Because I have this belief that you will never know if you are good at it, without trying it.

Surprisingly, I fell in love with the process. Creating a brand out of nothing became such an adrenaline rush for me. And my first client, trusted me with their branding when I didn't have any proof to show. They trusted my web design skills and gave me the work on top of their web design project.

And to my surprise the brand identity turned out so good, client approved the first brand presentation with no major changes. They wanted to change only the second pattern design. And the rest is history. Now, around 70% of my work has become design, while the rest is coding. Which is funny because I started as a front-end developer.

The thing I started learning just to prove I couldn't do it became a part of my work I love a lot. Sometimes you don't discover what you're good at by planning for it. You discover is by being willing to try.
