The hospital glowed with monitors, blue, green and red,
And teams treated with purpose all those in its beds.
Christmas would come, as the dawn light would creep,
But illness, unlike families, never will sleep.
’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the wards,
Not a bleeper lay silent, not a surgeon felt bored.
The charts were piled high at the nurses’ long station,
As beds through the night, filled with calm escalation.

@GarnhamAndy@VSGBI@RCSEd And you include all AHPs in the training. Most specialties don't. Interdisciplinary training is the way to go. Thanks to all who made and keep making it happen.
Vascular clinical fellow posts available in Newcastle, UK. These posts offer a wide range of vascular experience in open / endovascular management if aortic / peripheral / carotid and venous disease in a busy tertiary centre. Bonus - it’s in Newcastle!

As we near the start of VSGBI ASM in Hull I want to shamelessly plug the free online book published with the support of @VSGBI and aimed at med students, embryonic vascular surgeons, and AHPs.

“‘Vaccines don’t cause autism’ has never been proven.” Correct, because that’s not how science works.
If I say “sunning your perineum twice per day increases your IQ by 10 points” you would say, “prove it.” The burden of proof is on me, the person with a tanned perineum. If I responded by saying, “no, you prove to me perineal sunning DOESN’T increase your IQ by 10 points,” I am operating under the false assumption that my perineal sunning claim is fact without evidence to back it up.
The burden of proof is on the person claiming that vaccines cause autism, not the other way around.
@NurMidONMSD@chiefnurseIRE So can we please fund (and backfill) these incredible nurses. There are so many more patients we could help and services we could develop.
