Incredibly important paper in sports medicine.
Most ACL injuries can be healed WITHOUT surgery. Traditionally, we immobilise the knee in extension, which pulls apart the torn ends of the ACL. Simply immobilising in flexion allows the ends remain close (and heal).
Think different.
How does activity level regulate pain? It's much more complex than many assume! A sophisticated neuroimmune mediated response. This is a nice summary of the evidence.
