@theESA doubled down on community servers being illegal
In a statement to @pcgamer, @theESA wrote: "Private servers infringe on the intellectual property (IP) rights of game publishers. Publishers reserve the right to exercise their rights against them."

This is a Trojan horse that will eliminate privacy on the internet.
Why not make devices just for kids if you want to protect them? Why KYC every single person on the internet?
Because this is about control, not children.
A new U.S. bill called the KIDS Act is facing pushback from the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), which says it could require age verification on many websites and apps.
If the bill becomes law, people may have to prove their age before using some online services, possibly by showing a government ID or other verification.
The EFF says this could make it harder to stay private online and could push websites to remove or limit more content to avoid legal issues.

Hello outlaws! Jennifer Gibbons, VP of the Entertainment Software Association said Minecraft community servers are ILLEGAL. Thank you for lying about the law to the California Senate in public, it lets everyone see what we've been up against.

Minecraft and Call of Duty community servers have been branded "illegal" and compared to the "black market" by the Entertainment Software Association
The comments came during a debate over preserving games after official servers shut down
🔴Social media ban is FAILING in Australia
According to new research by leading medical journal, The BMJ:
🔹Over 85% of under-16s are still on social media sites despite a ban
🔹66% of children using social media have been exposed to ID checks including intrusive methods like uploading selfies
The evidence is on the table - a social media ban will fail to keep children safer online. Instead it would force Orwellian ID gateways to the internet, population-wide surveillance and a chokehold on everyone’s internet access.

Discord has started rolling out Incode for age verification. The system requires users to submit a government-issued ID and a selfie to confirm their age.
According to Discord, Incode processes biometric data locally on the user’s device using on-device AI and does not permanently store that biometric data on its servers.
Even so, the process requires users to share sensitive personal information with a third-party company.

We are PRIVATE citizens, the government should know very little if anything about us at all.
They are PUBLIC officials, we should know damn near everything about what they are doing.
The cameras are pointed the wrong way.
