@R_K_Zenn I really don’t. This is far from the first time a federal court has appointed a special master to review seizure documents (that’s whey there is a rule on it). And this judge’s opinion doesn’t bind any other court.
The only way a special master impacts the investigation in any meaningful way is if the DOJ overreacts to it (like they often do). Someone may look over your shoulder on this one, ok? Get over it. Don’t treat this as if Trump won something significant (he didn’t)

@Atticus59914029 There were apparently some atty-client documents in what they took (the govt gave them back already). But an independent special master can look over everything and confirm it. Best option given the politics involved, in my opinion
@Atticus59914029 If it’s truly privileged, it can’t be used as evidence or even seen by the prosecutors handling the case. So it would not be moot. A MTS can address 4th amendment issues but not privilege claims.
