JUST IN: Veteran electrical engineer and business leader Silvester Wayiti has been appointed CEO of electricity distributor Northern Regional Electricity Distributor (Nored).

Wayiti brings more than 17 years of experience in technical, executive and board-level roles, having served in various capacities across the electricity supply chain. He holds a master’s degree in engineering management from the University of Pretoria and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Cape Town.

He joins Nored from HopSol Africa, where he served as CEO.

For the same N$ 200 Million Youth Fund, the Youth of Khomas are only given 14 days. The Youth of Oshikoto are given ten (10) days. The Rural Youth of Ohangwena are only given seven (7) days. The Youth of Erongo are not given limited days, instead they will attend consultative meetings across the 7 constituencies. They are chilled and not pressured. In those seven (7) days, the youth are required to provide “Environmental Compliance Certificates”. In terms of our law, even six (6) months are not sufficient to obtain this certificate. The truth is that Modikwa “youth” holding places for Modikwa elders,already have these things. We have written to the Prime Minister Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare to stop these Madness.
