Russia's government have nuclear-tipped ICBMs that could destroy you today, so it's not logistics or ability stopping them from harming you. They have the logistics, they have the ability.

Similarly, Russia has modern aircraft capable of flying from Russia to the United States. Russian soldiers could land at an airport near your house today. What stops them? It's not logistics.

I'm not asking you to wage an offensive war against every government on earth, I'm asking you to recognize your enemy when you see him. A murderer who would kill you if he could breach your walls is still your enemy even if the walls are, for now, preventing him from reaching you.

Let me ask you again then: what stops the Russian government from taking control over you, personally? What force restrains them?

You say they have no interest, but you can't believe that and call yourself a libertarian. All libertarians understand that governments are not benevolent, self-restraining, and respectful of rights. Governments seek to control, dominate, destroy.

Why do you think the Russian government is unique among all governments on earth in being willing to respect your rights when no other government is so willing?
