Artemis II has returned to Earth.
Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy, thank you for inspiring a new generation to look up to the stars.
It’s time to start believing again.
Welcome home Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! 🫶
The Artemis II astronauts have splashed down at 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11), bringing their historic 10-day mission around the Moon to an end.
WELCOME HOME, INTEGRITY!!!!
Over 695,000 miles. 10 days. One spacecraft. And memories to last lifetimes, supported by thousands on the ground who have poured their hearts and souls into ensuring mission success.
Reid, Victor, Christina and Jeremy - we are so glad to have you back 🩶
No words can do these justice so I’m not even gonna try.
Just remember that behind each of these photos is not a satellite, but a human being like you and me, physically pressing a shutter button.
The Artemis II crew's Earthset and eclipse images are now on https://t.co/OOSOoeWeyD in full resolution:
Earthset: https://t.co/pVFle2FKFb
Captured with a Nikon D5 and Nikon 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 at 400mm, 1/1000, f/8, ISO 400
Eclipse: https://t.co/Ig6WT3s5q1
Captured with a Nikon Z9 and Nikon 35mm f/2D at 2", f/2, ISO 1600
BREAKING: ARTEMIS II IS GO FOR TRANS-LUNAR INJECTION! Mission Control Houston just confirmed to Orion Integrity, following a meeting of the Mission Management Team (MMT).
(HEADPHONE WARNING)
Come take a seat inside the gates of Launch Complex 39B to watch & listen as SLS and her crew of four take to the skies, destined for the moon on the Artemis II mission.
Lots to break down in the audio - from the HPU's chuffing away, the ROFI's popping, and the poor microphone taking the acoustic brunt of four RS-25 engines and a pair of five-segment solid rocket boosters.
Come check it!

NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter captured this image of @fireflyspace's Blue Ghost Mission 1 lander on the Moon. The lander touched down on March 2 near a volcanic feature within Mare Crisium, with 10 NASA science and technology instruments onboard. https://t.co/5SDsTu177R
Just in, our #GhostRiders downlinked another incredible Moon shot following a successful touchdown! Image shows the Moon's surface and Earth on the horizon. Blue Ghost's solar panel, X-band antenna (left), and LEXI payload (right) are also in view. #BGM1
We have confirmation #BlueGhost stuck the landing! Firefly just became the first commercial company in history to achieve a fully successful Moon landing. This small step on the Moon represents a giant leap in commercial exploration. Congratulations to the entire Firefly team, our mission partners, and our @NASA customers for this incredible feat that paves the way for future missions to the Moon and Mars.
Standby for the first image, expected in the next 30 minutes! #BGM1
“One small catch for humanity”
Here’s my composite image from IFT5, the moment rapidly reusable rocket booster technology was successfully tested for the first time.
In future classrooms on Mars, this will be in their history books.
Available in print for a short time.
I must admit I did not expect Michael Bloomberg to have his finger this near the pulse of spaceflight / NASA.
Here's a thread of my thought on his Artemis Article:
