A Polish mother was arrested after refusing to leave her 13 year old son unattended with a police officer in Liverpool. Her son had been accused by a Nigerian family living in social housing of stealing garden keys, an allegation he denies.
The officer later threatened to pepper spray the mother, who was then arrested. The boy was taken into a police van barefoot, with the officer refusing to let him retrieve his shoes and socks. The boy also claims that the officer later broke his wrist. More evidence to follow.
@muttlysaid@BROKENBRITAIN0 Under the Prevention of Crime Act 1953 carrying a baseball bat in public is not automatically illegal:
In this case, the bat’s original packaging and the receipt could support a reasonable-excuse defence.
Meanwhile in Manchester 🇬🇧
A British lad just bought a brand new baseball bat from a shop and is POUNCED upon by MULTIPLE police officers immediately after leaving the store.
The officers accuse him of “carrying a weapon” even though the bat was clearly brand new and just bought as it still had the plastic covering on it.
Would the police have reacted that way if the lad wasn’t white? I think NOT.
