On this World Environment Day, it’s worth looking back at the wisdom already embedded in Traditional Knowledge systems.
SVASTIK Stories on Naulas of the Himalayan region- carefully designed water harvesting structures and Virda, the indigenous rainwater harvesting systems, remind us that sustainability was never a new idea; it was a lived practice.
These systems reflect how communities once worked with nature - preserving water, respecting ecological balance, and ensuring resilience across generations.
Today, as we talk about building a sustainable future, Traditional Knowledge (TK) continues to offer grounded, time-tested solutions that modern systems can learn from and adapt. 🌱
