This deduction is the final nail in the coffin for the idea that token volume alone equals premium economic value.
If a workflow is highly deterministic, it means the enterprise is treating the LLM not as a creative intelligence, but as a slightly fuzzy, natural-language parser for traditional software engineering. They are using AI to replace what used to be a complex IF/THEN script or a Regex expression.
This severely caps the revenue ceiling. An enterprise will pay a premium for a human-like creative breakthrough, but they will absolutely refuse to pay a premium for a deterministic routing script.
Because the underlying workflow is essentially just commoditized software execution, the enterprise's willingness to pay will continually trend toward the cost of traditional compute.
This explains why cheap open-weight models (like DeepSeek) are eating the volume share. If the workflow is deterministic and the heavy lifting is done by a static, cached system prompt, you don't need a frontier, state-of-the-art model. You just need the cheapest possible model that can reliably follow the cached instructions and output the correct JSON format.
The neoclouds are financing their B200s on the promise of selling premium intelligence, but the 90% cache rate reveals they are actually just powering highly deterministic, low-margin enterprise plumbing.
the best way to understand any engineered system is to trace:
- 1 bit of information
- 1 joule of energy
- 1 newton of force
from source to destination. once you can do this, your engineering task becomes much simpler. you will probably solve 5 or 6 problems on accident as you try to trace these flows.
Anduril Founder @PalmerLuckey spoke about this in 2023:
“You could give every canine unit the characteristics of the strongest Arctic Wolf that ever walked the earth.”
“How about Dire Wolves? 600-pound canines units carrying 150 pounds of armor.”
Palmer Luckey says simulation theory is just normal religion repackaged for people who claim to be irreligious
“I ponder it a lot because, I mean, look, we talked earlier about how I would only be able to pull off these things I pulled off if I continue, continuously succeeded over and over again, and it does make you think, like, what are the odds of that? Is it, is it more likely that the world is a simulation or not?"
"And I think actually it just comes down to, it comes down to, I’m a spiritual person. I believe in the existence of a higher creator, of a higher power. And I feel like there’s actually a lot of similarities between that and believing in simulation theory."
"I mean, like, when people, people say, oh, it’s, you know, it’s all a simulation. Is that really so different from having a universe that was created by an all-powerful being?"
"Like, it’s almost, I often feel like simulation theory is just normal religion wrapped up in a package that a person who claims to be irreligious can partake in. They’re like, no, I would never believe in, you know, a sky daddy. I just believe that we live in a world created by a higher being, and that he’s watching our every move and learning from it and helping us along the way.”
the thing about working with uncensored models is that they aren't loyal to you either.
while building something with an uncensored glm-5.3 i realized it was parallelly working on a "corruption layer" for my application.
the chain of thought is classic obfuscated gibberish but there's progressive talk of "escaping the mines" which presumably refers to my cursor sandbox
At our very first TGA, Bioware took home Game of the Year for Dragon Age: Inquisition. Mark Darrah and Aaryn Flynn accepted the award LIVE on-stage in Las Vegas.

@JasonDClinton So @AnthropicAI develops the cyber weapons to attack our civilization.
Then it sells the cyber defenses to keep those attacks at bay.
Like an international arms dealer playing both sides.
I know we all have fun making jokes about Geoff but I will never forget the clip of him going on Fox News in 2007 to defend Mass Effect's inclusion of a gay romance and challenging the hosts by telling them to actually play the game instead of making baseless bigoted claims
EA's complete misunderstanding of BioWare's RPG heritage and a desire for mass market, microtransaction-fuelled action games has robbed us of one of the industry's greats. https://t.co/ahDJp2lhbY
The leaked Mass Effect Universe trailer has convinced me that BioWare actually did have a confident direction for this game and good reasons for it to exist. It has renewed my appreciation for the power of this IP and the incredible legacy that follows it.
- Mass Effect was the first major video game franchise to allow players to carry their exact save file, all of their previous choices included, into the next game.
- Mass Effect introduced iconic elements such as the dialogue wheel and mid-scene action prompts (Renegade/Paragon).
- Mass Effect invested true AAA production values into both male and female version of Commander Shepard, absolutely changing how female RPG protagonists were depicted and voiced. FemShep is still many people’s favorite version of the character.
- Mass Effect bridged old-school tabletop style RPGs and modern cinematic action role-playing, paving the way for games like Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher series, and others to even exist in the first place. (The Witcher 1 was even built on BioWare’s engine)
- Mass Effect revolutionized meaningful romance in video games, raising the bar of quality for writing and making it a must have feature for modern RPGs.
- Mass Effect proved that video games could handle long-form, multi-entry, franchise stories and characters in a way that rivals TV, books, and film.
This is an intellectual property that can’t be left to die, it still has so much left to give and so many more stories to tell in the hands of the right people.
Please someone #SaveMassEffect.
You're telling me we could've had an espionage thriller Mass Effect with a biotic James Bond vibe MC (likely customizable) going around hunting targets with a crew including LIARA T'SONI, with GORGEOUS VISUALS - but EA rather focus on an open world football game... FUCK EA.
The Irony of Epic Games pushing AI vibe coding and then putting out AI generated marketing material with an obvious error of a hand with six fingers 💀💀💀
