@slopefillers This is a very manual process ATM, but yeah slopes has enough users that aggregate data can really do some cool stuff. Have some cool summer projects I hope to take on, bandwidth allowing.
@jlagrone86 Usually what can bug reviewers is if the font of the price feels vastly overshadowed by the button (bad actors would try to hide the price with poor contrast, so they need _some_ rule here). Can try increasing the size / weight of price line, or lowering the button contrast.
@acbdev Sorry! I wish there was a way to _both_ time-base and location-base notifications like that. Apple makes us pick just one, so it isn't easy to disable them automatically in the summer :(
As requested, added about 20 new designs based on popular icons to Apollo's merch store! Shirts, hoodies, hats, phone cases and more. 👕
The promo code "RIPAPOLLO" for 10% off plus free shipping is ending very soon too!

Hey Xcode dev tools team: FB12567165. I think it'd be great if you persisted the debugger output filter y'all added in Xcode 15 to the workspace settings. We'd be able to get rid of the `OS_ACTIVITY_MODE` = `disabled` trick finally.
ICYMI: Xcode 15b3 is out, and – hurray! – has removed the 10-view limit in SwiftUI. You can now add as many child views as you want without using Group 🎉
@film_girl Plus I think it throws us off that it is like IG - show content from following that you haven't seen yet and then show algo stuff. So if you refresh often-ish enough, you get like one new tweet and then algo stuff.
@film_girl People keep saying it sucks 'cause brands are there, that just means it has main-stream attention already. Pair that with an algorithmic timeline and 90% of the people I follow hardly making any content yet, all there is to surface are those things that _are_ making content.
Which in the long term might have been for the worse for BS. Social networks get worse the bigger they get. I don’t like the cool-kid gate keeping, but this might just preserve BS’s vibe long term.
Let Threads be the high school cafeteria, BS can be the anti-establishment.
@parrots I think if BlueSky had scaled up quicker, they could have also done what Threads probably will end up doing. But BlueSky took the conservative route (for better or worse) and well, we are left with a Meta / Zuckerberg monopoly…
Honestly? Once the dust settles I think Threads is going to fill the Twitter-shaped hole people were hoping Mastodon would be.
Mastodon won’t die, but it’ll be the niche Linux-on-the-desktop social platform, and lose a lot of Twitter refugees in the near term.
@sdw My fav head-cannon: Zuck couldn’t buy Twitter cause it got too big. So he paid his good friend E on the down-low to buy Twitter and kill it from the inside.
