I'm psyched to announce that David Chaum @chaumdotcom has joined @tachi_btc as Scientific Advisor.
David has been a true cypherpunk inspiration to me from the start. We align completely on TACHI's core mission: enabling institutions & AI agents to run smart contracts + earn real yield on self-custodial Bitcoin: owner always signs, no bridges, no wrappers, no custodians.
This is how we complete what the cypherpunks started. Welcome David!
David Chaum (@chaumdotcom), the “Godfather of Cryptocurrency” whose invention of eCash inspired Satoshi Nakamoto’s Bitcoin and Eric Hughes’ Cypherpunk Manifesto, joins Tachi as Scientific Advisor.
David will provide key R&D guidance to accelerate the team’s cryptographic breakthroughs emerging from Tachi’s R&D on Bitcoin.
Most “Bitcoin DeFi” still asks you to trust someone else with your Bitcoin: a bridge, a custodian, a federation, or an external chain...
That's one of the main reasons more than $100B of BTC sits idle across public companies, private entities, and government treasuries.
Tachi preserves what Bitcoin was built for in the first place - sovereignty over your own money. Your BTC stays on mainnet in TAURUS multisig vaults, and you retain unilateral exit rights.
That makes self-custodial yield, lending, and agent-driven payments possible on Bitcoin, without asking you to compromise on custody.
That is how idle BTC becomes productive, and stranded BTC returns to Bitcoin-native DeFi powered by Tachi.
A sovereign wealth fund of $100 billion by GoI, but getting most of the capital from private sector by incentivizing Indian companies to invest in it for India's future can solve this issue of funding requirements by our deeptech cos & innovators. IMO, it is the need of the hour.
Researchers from IIT Madras and IISc Bengaluru have solved a chemistry puzzle that remained unanswered for over 70 years.
As reported in The Indian Express, the team led by Prof. Sundargopal Ghosh and Stutee Mohapatra from the Department of Chemistry, IIT Madras, along with Prof. Eluvathingal Jemmis from IISc Bengaluru, has synthesised a carbon-free molecule that mimics the iconic ‘sandwich’ structure of ferrocene.
Using osmium and boron-based rings instead of carbon, the breakthrough marks the first stable carbon-free version of the molecule — something scientists worldwide had long attempted to achieve.
Published in the prestigious journal Science (https://t.co/zqkL1CSqz6), the discovery could open new pathways for designing advanced materials with unique chemical and structural properties.

2/ Most “Bitcoin L2s” force agents to choose between speed and sovereignty.
→Bridges = custody risk
→Sidechains = new consensus risk
→Wrapped BTC = trust in third parties
Tachi removes these tradeoffs entirely with three foundational pillars.

If you want to see what insanity looks like. OpenHuman now has over 27k users in just one week and burnt through over 5bn tokens
And we still raised 0$ and spent 0$ in marketing.

Institutional adoption of Bitcoin has been held back in large part by the need to give up custody to access essential financial appllications.
Most Bitcoin financial activity today exists on external chains rather than on Bitcoin itself. Over time, this has pulled significant Bitcoin TVL into alt-chain ecosystems.
So you either had to keep custody and let BTC sit idle, or move BTC elsewhere to make it productive. The Bitcoin ecosystem did not offer any native infra for building rich financial applications directly on Bitcoin.
This changes with Tachi.
You get native yield, lending, and trading without leaving Bitcoin’s security model or surrendering custody.
It’s time to bring Bitcoin TVL back home.
If ancient Indian logicians were alive today, they would view our 70 billion parameter models as bloated legacy code & would be leading the charge in extreme model pruning.
1000s yrs ago, the linguist Panini faced a huge infra constraint: the human memory. To preserve the entirety of Sanskrit grammar w/o losing a single bit of data, he wrote the Ashtadhyayi.
It is a framework of < 4000 algorithmic rules (sutras) that functions exactly like a modern compiler. It is so highly optimized that the entire source code of the language can be stored in a few KBs of memory.
Panini invented an algebraic notation system using auxiliary markers (Anubandhas) that act exactly like pointers & metadata tags in programming. He achieved infinite linguistic generation with near-zero compute cost.
Thrilled to have had a chance to visit @iitmadras. Had inspiring conversations with multiple professors and students pushing the frontiers of research, and got to witness incredible new innovations.
The dam is about to break on strategic Bitcoin reserves.
Corporate treasuries, ETFs, exchanges, and governments already hold 3M+ BTC. Now a US Strategic Bitcoin Reserve has a real timeline.
As adoption accelerates, one question gets harder to avoid: How do you make BTC productive without giving up sovereignty over the asset?
A reserve asset at this scale shouldn't have to choose between sovereignty & productivity.
Today, most BTC yield options reintroduce trusted intermediaries through custody, wrapped BTC, or bridge-dependent systems.
Tachi makes yield on self-custodial Bitcoin possible. The holder remains a required signer.
The sats never leave L1.
Amazing to see a bleeding-edge Indian DeepTech team build the world's first OptoSAR satellite. This is the first wave of Bharat's deep-tech innovations on the horizon. It makes my heart fill with pride and it ignites a fire to go further.
How's the Josh @GalaxEye team!
The KelpDAO rsETH exploit started at the LayerZero-powered bridge, then cascaded into Aave as the stolen rsETH was used as collateral.
The attack worked because DeFi as practiced today still makes three trust assumptions that Bitcoin-native systems do not need.
The flowchart shows how Tachi would have stopped the core attack path.

I'm overwhelmed by awe and pain: 1.5 billion souls of Bharat protected by such a fragile line.
Dhurandhar gives us the gift of a temporary realization: Bharat’s survival in the great churn is our civilizational imperative. We must do far more. Jai Hind.
