I spent the last few days wiring up my first Vision Pro app: Stereopticon — an app that takes antique stereograph cards from the world's archives and brings them back to life in true depth, the way they were meant to be seen. It's live today, and it's free. I'd love for you to try it 👇 https://t.co/Wz7BvJUf87 #AppleVisionPro #visionOS
It's free. No ads, no tracking, no account — I just wanted it to exist and to share it. If you have a Vision Pro, I'd genuinely love to know what you think 👇 https://t.co/KKEmROyw2O
I have always been very fascinated by 3d media. Stereographs have been around since 1838, and I have always loved checking them out at museums.

The app does the fiddly part for you: finds each card, splits the two images, fixes a century of crooked alignment, and sends one to each eye. 1,000+ are built in and ready — Egypt, Paris, early flight, the American West.
Tissue Paper Glider by Tom Stanton uses a clever technique that prints thin tissue paper right into the model, creating a lightweight glider with barely any filament. Just secure the tissue with magnets and print directly onto it – and then it’s time to see how far it can fly. ✈️ https://t.co/srYzoqNXpi
The whole point of Meshatastic is the way it distributes messages with no single point of failure. I don’t really know how you could argue hf is more redundant than a meshnet… or portable… the heltec v4 is about the size of a pack of gum. I get it hf is fun i am a ham operator too, but if you are trying to build an emergency comms network with your buddies i think meshtastic is infinitely more practical. Again just my opinion.
Maybe… but I can go 40 miles without even trying which easily gets me coverage with my community. For mass deployment mesh seems like it’s way more robust than relying on audio over hf to me. Anyone can buy one for $35 and you can hide them in plain sight. No fancy gear required.
