Today, with the launch of the Mpower Foundation Kota Clinic, we take a significant step towards creating a true safe space for our youth. In a city where too many young lives have been lost to self-harm, this clinic represents hope, healing, and a brighter future. #YouthWellness

THREAD: Everything you need to know about the Annual Budget (in the easiest way possible)🧵
Expect only light rains on Friday and Saturday. There will be occasional moderate shower but not consistent. This is for entire Mumbai and Mumbai MMR. #mumbairains
Watch out for, and stay away from these weak evidence based, poorly researched, overglorified, "good inside the lab-but not inside humans," promotional products from the stables of health-illiterate Bro Science:
Ashwagandha - doesn't improve strength, muscle mass or endurance. But it does a lot of stuff to cells and tissue inside a lab.
Curcumin - does a lot of magical things inside a petri-dish, but not inside human bodies.
Magnesium glycinate - does not help in fatigue or endurance and has no effect on sleep disorders. But many people keep telling it does and repeating a lie may make it ound like the truth
Resveratrol - does not make you look younger. Good make-up does that.
Probiotics - it does nothing for your "gut-health." That's your psychological alarms beeping & applauding to your confirmation biases.
Shilajit - a resinous rock does not jack up human testes functions. Do you know what improves testosterone levels? Testosterone does that. Majority of muscle men who promote shilajit for muscle growth and endurance are possibly jacked on steroids.
Vitamin E - the one vitamin that should not ever feature in your supplement stack, because Vitamin E deficiency is the rarest there is. Your routine diet always has it, in doses you need.
Zinc supplements- literally zero evidence for it's use as a general supplement in work out category. Do you know where Zinc really works and is supplemented? For a genetic condition called Wilson's disease to reduce copper overload in the body.
Vitamin C - you are only making expensive urine. There is a limit you can assault the body with megadoses of vitamin C. The body always finds a way to throw out unecessary stuff you throw in it.
Fish oil (Omega-3) - only if you do not consume fish and seafood. Otherwise this does not make any sense.
Arachidonic acid (ARA)- In fact, a 2019 systematic review published in the British Journal of Nutrition concluded that "there are not enough data to make any recommendations for specific health effects of ARA intake."
Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) - biggest bluff to enter into supplements stack. It does nothing to your aging process or energy levels.
Coenzyme Q10 (coQ10) - big action hero inside cells and in the lab setting on blood biomarkers, nothing to show for from clinical context in humans when supplemented. The best all f*art, no sh*t supplement after curcumin and Ashwagandha.
Quercetin - a recent meta-analysis showed that it did not affect triglycerides, HDL-cholesterol and inflammatory markers such as interleukin-6 and TNF-α among patients with metabolic disorders. It is a complete waste of your money and time.
Alphalipoic acid (ALA) - not useful at all, unless you are suffering from neuropathic pain, where is has modest benefits on symptom reduction.
Raw garlic or Garlic extract - useful if you are in Transylvania and have to ward off vampires. In humans, the glorious lab data does not deliver as promised.
Glutamine - According to a meta-analysis from 2019 in the Clinical Nutrition journal, glutamine supplementation did not have any effect on athletics immune system, aerobic performance, and body composition.
What works?
Pure, non-blend protein supplements - animal, dairy or plant protein (your choice)
Beta-alanine - yes, it improves exercise capacity and performance
Branched-chain amino acids or BCAA - prevents delayed onset muscle soreness and reduces muscle damage
