We're inviting the first set of users to pre-order and experience NEO.
This is a product that is early for its time. Some features are still in active development & polish. There will be mistakes. We will quickly learn from them, and use your early feedback to improve NEO for broad adoption in every home.
Here's what we'll do:
1. ship a safe, general-purpose home robot that fulfills simple chores around the home. In the Chores feature, NEO will be autonomous + call for human assistance when NEO can't do a task, like how Waymo is operated & supervised.
2. In Fully Autonomous mode, you have an embodied AI assistant that you can talk to and interact with. You can also ask it to attempt best effort autonomy where NEO chains simple autonomy primitives (walk -> pick -> place -> walk) and executes them with the onboard Redwood model.
3. The more users use NEO (with data sharing enabled), the more we spin the data flywheel. This not only improves capability, but also safety and EQ.
4. The more autonomous NEO gets, the more we can expand our coverage of the service. Once NEOs are quite capable at a broad set of tasks around many different homes, we think they will be useful in other domains: hospitality, logistics, helping around farms, picking up litter off the streets.
In the coming weeks we'll be sharing an AI + Autonomy update that represents a signfiicant step towards this goal. Stay tuned!
Iβm halfway through a day of @ycombinator interviews and my whole body is tingling. Incredibly talented people are working on the most ambitious ideas Iβve ever seen.
I donβt think the world is prepared for the tidal wave of technological change thatβs about to hit over the next handful of years.
It feels equivalent to the early days of the internet - there are huge opportunities practically everywhere you look.
Companies are being started right now that are going to transform entire industries over the next decade.
Whatβs your answer going to be when your grandkids ask you - βWhat were you working on when AI was first invented?β
βI took a safe, well-paid job at Goldman Sachs or McKinsey while the world was being rebuilt around me.β
Or are you going to help create the future?
You only have one life.
YC founders in my batch got stuck in an elevator in the Transamerica Pyramid and used ChatGPT to figure out how to get unstuck. Thank you @sama, @tszzl and @OpenAI π«‘

If there is a single key to success, it is the trait of being able to make things happen in the worldβwillfulness, determination, execution focus, not giving up when you hit a roadblock, the ability to solve any problem that comes your way, and self-belief.
βοΈAs we got lots of interest at the hackathon, we plan to launch NEXUS as a product this week π₯π shoot me a DM for instant BETA access π VSCode Extension coming next ππ
Great seeing the AI community picking up in Europe @AnthropicAI x @cerebral_valley hack in π¬π§ last wknd. 200 hackers came together to build the future with Claude2 π Missed SF AI vibes a bit recently being in Europe, but we don't need to hide π―π

@KenHendricks_& I built Nexus: API Docs Copilot for instant tech support for any API/product (like e.g. "how do i use the Twilio API to setup a call?"). Companies can create this in <2mins and embed it in 1 line on their site. @AnthropicAI@weaviate_io@Haystack_AI@philipvollet
