The time of self-defense is over when the 136 innocents Hamas holds in its terror tunnels are released and are brought back to their homes.

Since the beginning of the war, over 8000 trucks carrying over 142 tons of aid have entered Gaza.

For example, yesterday (Jan. 16) 218 humanitarian aid trucks were inspected and transferred to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah (Egypt) and the Kerem Shalom (Israel) crossings.

A new humanitarian aid delivery channel through Jordan, aimed at increasing the volume of humanitarian aid, was opened over the last few days. 139 trucks carrying food donated by the @WFP entered Gaza via this route.

Additional field hospitals are underway, and more equipment and personnel for the existing hospitals arrive daily.

11 bakeries, producing over 2 million pita breads a day, are operational in central and southern Gaza.

Today, (Jan. 17) between 10:00 and 14:00, the IDF paused operations in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah, southern Gaza, in order to enable the movement of humanitarian aid.

The IDF says two Al Jazeera journalists targeted in an airstrike on Sunday in southern Gaza's Rafah, were members of terror organizations in the Gaza Strip.

The strike was carried out after the IDF said it spotted a terror operative piloting a drone, and subsequently hit a car they were in.

Hamza Wael Dahdouh, the son of Al Jazeera's Gaza correspondent Wael Dahdouh, and Mustafa Thuria, a video stringer for AFP who was also working for Qatar-based television, both died in the strike.

The IDF says its intelligence confirms both are members of Gaza-based terror groups and were "actively involved in attacks against IDF forces."

It says Thuria was identified by a document found by troops in Gaza as a member of Hamas's Gaza City Brigade, serving as a deputy squad commander in one of the battalions.

Dahdouh, according to the IDF, is a member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. It says documents recovered by troops in Gaza reveal he served in Islamic Jihad's electronic engineering unit, and previously was a deputy commander in the Zeitoun Battalion's rocket firing force.

The IDF attaches a copy of the document showing Dahdouh was a member of Islamic Jihad's electronic engineering unit.

Tunnels of Hamas’ general headquarters found within one of Yahya Sinwar’s hideout apartments located in northern Gaza.

Part of a long and branching tunnel network, the tunnel shaft in the apartment led to a 218 meter long tunnel, with a depth of about 20 meters. Inside these tunnels, Senior Hamas officials were living comfortably with an electricity network, ventilation and sewage infrastructure, prayer rooms and resting rooms.

At the end of the examination and the operational activity conducted along the tunnel route, the tunnel was destroyed by IDF forces.

19-year-old Agam Berger has been held in Hamas captivity for 81 days. Her father shared her story with Israeli radio today: "At 7:45am, she had a very brief conversation with us while we were in the shelter, with poor reception, and she said 'they are shooting at us, I am scared dad!'" Only the next morning did her father see a video that Hamas posted, showing Agam being forcibly taken by Hamas men into Gaza.

Her father said that news of her being alive came with the release of some of the hostages from captivity during the temporary ceasefire a few weeks ago, but the family is still in complete turmoil.

"The former hostages who returned to Israel share information that on one hand is positive, on the other hand is horrifying,” he noted. "She is a young girl, 19 years old, among the youngest who remained there. I don't want to even think about what might be happening to her there. People who returned spoke of rape and sexual violence. I shut myself off and don't want to think about it - but we are anxious about her fate," he said.

At the end of the interview, Shlomi turned to his daughter, hoping his words would reach her: "Agam, we miss you very much, waiting for you to come home, just come back, we love you, please be for us strong, we are here trying to be strong for you."
