An underrecognized variant of nodal marginal zone lymphoma (NMZL) is the "eosinophil-rich variant", which is a unique subset not mentioned/emphasized by the current WHO/ICC
A knowledge of this variant of NMZL can prevent it from being misdiagnosed as PTCL (particularly AITL) which seems to be not an uncommon mistake
