@markos I’m sure they don’t care, but Team Trump didn’t even bother submitting statements for the Oregon voter guide. Just a sloppy campaign all around (that could still win due to the poisonous media environment)
@DwightMccabe @drvolts@Mr_Electrico@SolutionaryRail That too! Had to wait on a freight train, informed that our air conditioning was down and some part of the train came loose, causing screeching at times. Still better than driving
@drvolts@Mr_Electrico@SolutionaryRail Anecdotal, but the Cascades between Seattle and PDX was packed on Friday. Imagine if that ride were an hour instead of 3.
@jaketapper Establishment newspapers have already made themselves largely irrelevant in the fight to preserve democracy. I feel for the good investigative journalists out there, but their work is being marginalized by owners, editors, and pundits.
@ZachWeiner This is as it should be. I have a music degree but don’t interfere with my son’s guitar education. He also has perfect pitch and likes to rub it in that I can’t name random notes or chords without a reference. Super proud of him.
@kasie@AmbJohnBolton Thank god you reported on this. I’m honestly not sure how I could make good decisions about anything in politics or life in general without this crucial information. I’m glad our diligent reporters are so laser-focused on informing the electorate.
@POTUS You mean we’ll continue sending them just enough support to not be completely overwhelmed but not enough to change the dynamic. And we’ll prevent them from using donated weapons as they see fit to defend their infrastructure and civilians.
@semaforben@mattyglesias It’s funny how you can tell who the worst people in journalism are before they openly tell on themselves. Ben, it’s been a pleasure to ignore you and every publication you’ve contributed to over the years. I’m confident I haven’t missed anything of substance.
@ElectProject I’m sure you know that an outlier doesn’t necessarily mean bad polling. They also released a Pennsylvania poll with Harris up 4, which isn’t consistent with a tied national race. Is there something to suggest poor methodology rather than statistical noise?
@whstancil I see slapping a car as not the same as punching, but I’m probably being pedantic! By the way, I only responded because I saw a bunch of “this didn’t happens” in your replies. It’s quite common as anyone who has cycled a lot will know!
@whstancil I wouldn’t recommend punching a car, but people have thrown stuff or yelled at me while cycling in the bike lane. Easy targets for bored kids.
@Noahpinion@hammer_mt “Space is cold” is misleading because it’s a vacuum. In some places the few whizzing particles can be pretty hot. Either way, the usual way cooling happens in space is radiatively. Though I suppose evaporative cooling could work as well!
@drvolts I don’t know how you can present the critique any more clearly than this. Unfortunately, I don’t think those in the DC journalism bubble are willling to address it in good faith.
@SamAdlerBell Dave’s problem is that he expects political journalists to care about informing the public. In reality, their job is to produce content to sell ads/subscriptions. They apparently feel the best way to do this is to regurgitate Republican talking points at Democratic candidates.
