First term he allowed students to bring devices to take notes, research, etc. After being frustrated with the students' distractions, he's switched this term to no devices, only pencils for note taking

But a teacher helps a student with so much more: asking good questions, being a responsible citizen, discovering gifts and talents, etc. #DC508

Morgenson's blogpost had a twist that I didn't expect. Her title looks to be anti-tech in regards to how it hinders teenagers' communication skills. But after her weekend away with daughter plus friends she discovered talkative, creative girls who use devices! #DC508

Diffusion of Innovation Theory. Makes me wonder if "time" has been studied with this theory. For example, what amount of time is needed for early adopters to evangelize the early majority? It probably also depends on the innovation. #DC508

One unintended effect of technology that came to mind after reading Matthew Lynch's article is the amount of references to video games by young students. So quickly a few of them can get off topic and start a side conversation about Fortnite! #DC508

I wonder how often technology is embraced because it is new and exciting, what if the old system worked well? I appreciate Nworie and Haughton's suggestions, proper assessment prior to adopting an innovation and monitoring the system for effects of change. #DC508
