@jam_croissant That’s a very pessimistic take, rooted in fears that AI is supreme& independent at all tasks. I am at the leading edge of AI. IMO, AI is very far from completely replacing humans. It does some tasks really well like calculators of past did but still need humans for best results.

@TheLongInvest So BYD is not spending as much as Tesla on R&D, does not have margins and still able to make cars which are selling like hell..that’s either genius or they are really good at getting innovation by some other means..given lack of margins I think at some point truth will catch up..

Everyone is focusing that Deepseek will reduce demand for gpus because of less training demand. That is true, but Deepseek is going to supercharge inference demand. It’s very positive for AI infra startups except Open AI and Anthropics of the world.

@alma18499 Spot on. Human mind is designed for looking for dopamine. Without social media it comes from real life pleasure like pursuing your goals, getting better, finding love. With social media we get them from scrolling endlessly and avoid hard work involved in getting real pleasures.
