PSA for aspiring NWS new hires: you should not hint at or announce online that you got an NWS job until you get your FINAL job offer (FJO) & accept it.

It's not official until you get the FJO. Many have accepted TJOs and not ended up with that job. Just wait the extra week or 2

@draggmylizard @alexa_maines it's always always always worth it to try just in case, but yes the qualifications listed on the posting are REQUIRED. some people who have been in the agency for 20+ years who don't have differential equations but do have met degrees have been denied jobs bc of missing diffeq

@barowskiwx @alexa_maines fiscal year! our (government) budget runs on a fiscal year that starts oct 1 and ends sept 30 of the following year. FY27 is oct 1, 2026 - sept 30, 2027!
