ITV drama has done an amazing job of making the Post Office scandal resonate - sometimes only the empathy that a drama can break makes a campaign work.

Yet I've read a few denigrating journalists for not covering it. That's unfair, Private Eye has been all over this for years, as has Computer Weekly, there's been Panorama's, Radio 4 series and its been covered huge amount of time in many newspapers and news programmes.

It took a different type of cut through to make it resonate to this level, but that doesn't mean some of my fellow journalists didn't try.
