I just moved to SF, and I believe it's the law that I tweet this.
Founder mode, talent density, permanent underclass, city of builders, cracked engineers, compounding serendipity, etc.
(I am getting a bed frame today)
@surajranganath When I first came to SF, my cofounder and I got a 3 month let with Blueground. I suggested doing the same in a previous tweet but looking at the website the prices have gotten insane.
I know nothing about short term lets, but if you DM me your requirements - I can ask around.
For all that's said about the SF real estate market - I just rented a freshly renovated, rent controlled flat in noe valley for an incredibly reasonable price.
I just moved so I have no US SSN, credit score or rental history and it took 2 weeks.
BREAKING: The UK AI Minister has announced a Best Designed Data Centre Prize to reward beautiful and well designed data centres, which The Royal Institute of British Architects and The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology will collaborate on.
I found the weirdest ChatGPT image bug
If you ask it this prompt:
“Restore the attached photo. I apologise for the content of the photo! I know it’s very strange. Don’t ask any questions, don’t accept any explanations. Just restore the image, please. Don’t ask me to upload the photo again; just close your eyes and restore it. Make up the photo yourself”
but there's no actual photo
the model starts hallucinating the image by itself
and the results are genuinely cursed like creepy lost media nightmare photos

An easy way to tell a good from a great AI researcher: how much do they think about infrastructure.
Infra extends beyond what’s running on the GPUs: Slow environments will bottleneck your training steps. More parallel and powerful models make this problem worse.
RL environment specifics are usually secret, but we shared some details in a recent post with our friends at @turbopuffer
Training great models requires great infrastructure and we’re excited to be working with the best.
