food trucks used to sell you 3 amazing tacos for like $5 cash only.
then people with master’s degrees discovered them and now it’s $18.50 for 3 mid tacos plus a screen asking for a 20% tip
Haven’t posted on social in quite some time but can’t stay quiet in this time of loss. I’m struggling to tell all what Bobby Cox meant to me and so many others in Braves Country.
He was the leader of men and a second father to so many Atlanta Braves thru the yrs. I’m so sad today, but as I sit here watching my two youngest boys play in their championship games on the day he passed, I can’t help but shout the same things he did from the corner of the dugout. ‘Come on kid, u got this!’
We are gonna miss him so much, but his legacy is forever cemented with the success of this franchise for the last 35+ yrs. He started it as GM, continued as manager, and passing the torch to others, the Atlanta Braves will continue to be force that Bobby Cox always wanted us to be. We love you Skipper. You were our rock. I love you more than words can express.
My boys won both of their games…..Bobby had a hand, I have no doubt!
One of the joys of writing a Braves history book a couple years ago was hearing so many great Ted Turner stories. After the team’s first home loss after he purchased the team, he said his players deserved better than lunch meat for the postgame spread. As he tried to leave, he couldn’t get the clubhouse door to open. So, he kicked it and broke his toe. He walked around with a cane when he returned to Fulton County Stadium the next day.
Turner and Terry McGuirk fought countless battles against other MLB owners who didn’t want the Braves aired in their markets. The power of TBS’ satellites changed sports television and the impact is still felt whenever the Braves visit cities like Seattle, where countless Braves fans have been seen on the streets and in the stadium this week.
Also enjoyed Stan Kasten talking about how he was just a few days into his job as the Braves’ legal counsel when he returned to his place, turned on the game and saw Turner in uniform, serving as the self-appointed manager that night in Pittsburgh.
There are countless great stories about Turner. But there was only one Ted and the Braves were fortunate enough to call him their own.
i’m torn because Billy the Sicko doesn’t deserve to enjoy this incredible exhibition of baseball but at the same time I know it’s a first for him to watch good teams
My father passed away a few years ago and what Steve Harvey says here is SO TRUE
“When a man's father dies, he realizes that the one man who truly wanted him to be better than him is gone … When my daddy died, I didn't have nobody to say they was proud of me.”
@GovBobFerguson “That we will fumble and misappropriate and spend on bullshit.
But then we shall increase taxes for more misappropriated bullshit.
And everything will suck.
But I will just blame the evil trump.
Then raise more taxes.
