I had a productive discussion with stakeholders regarding the Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Bill at State House.

I acknowledged the concerns raised, particularly by our religious leaders, and encouraged all stakeholders, including members of Parliament, to engage in more in-depth consultations.

This bill aims to tackle one of the primary factors contributing to maternal mortality, and it is our shared responsibility to work together to reach a consensus to reduce these rates.

I commissioned the transit transport terminal at Lumely, located west of Freetown. This strategic development will enhance access to transportation services and improve connectivity with our cities and across regions.

The traffic light that we inaugurated today will promote road safety, reduce congestion, and strengthen our road infrastructure.

I encourage all transport operators, commuters, and residents to embrace the opportunities these facilities provide and to commit to their ongoing maintenance and longevity.
