My nephew Michael Hines was born with cerebral palsy. He came into this world with every strike against him, and yet he never had an unhappy day. He was a luminous soul, sent by God to teach us all how to live in gratitude and love.
He died a week before his 21st birthday in May 2024. His organs went to nine recipients and saved two lives, including the mother of an intellectually disabled child. His heart went to a nine-year-old boy.
After a lifetime of giving the gift of love, he died giving the gift of life.
Orlando. April 2024.
What a blessing this weekend was. To be on the field with all of our teammates from the 2006 WS Championship team, and to see 2 of the greatest players and Cardinals to ever live, who are forever friends, go in the HOF…… thank you Lord. @Cardinals
Tomorrow marks 25 years since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
As Missouri joins the rest of the nation in remembering the tragic events of that day, I have ordered the Missouri State Capitol dome to shine red, white, and blue beginning tonight at sunset through sunrise on Saturday.
This serves as a reminder of a promise America made that day—and one we must continue to keep: Never forget.
Charlie Kirk left a lasting impact on America.
A patriot and unwavering voice for conservatives across the country, Charlie raised the bar for civic engagement and political dialogue.
His legacy of inspiring young people to be bold and make their voices heard will continue to live on.
This should make you angry.
This is Bonnie Pierce, a 38-year-old mother of three from St. Paul, Minnesota. Her house caught fire. She and two of her children escaped, then realized her toddler was still inside.
Bonnie went back in, found the child, but could not get out. She shielded the child with her body. She died from her burns. The child survived.
A GoFundMe for her family raised about $42,000.
By comparison, more than $1,000,000 was raised on GoFundMe for Lindsay Clancy, who was charged with killing her children.
It is a sad reflection of the society we have become.
RIP Bonnie.
As we approach the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, I want to take a moment to remember the heroic leadership of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
I was a New Yorker at the time of the attacks and had witnessed his leadership firsthand during my years as a member of the NYPD.
September 11, 2001, was one of the darkest days in American history. In the difficult days that followed, Mayor Giuliani provided the calm, steady, and reassuring voice New Yorkers—and our nation—needed to help guide us through the tough days that followed.
His leadership during that moment in history should never be forgotten.
🚨INCREDIBLE: On September 11, 2001, about 140 infants and toddlers were inside the Pentagon’s Child Development Center when American Airlines Flight 77 hit the building.
Hanna Born was one of them. She was 3.
She remembers the dance ribbons. Then she remembers a hallway. Nothing in between.
Her baby sister Heather was there too — 4 months old.
Every child was evacuated. Not one was harmed.
Their mother, then a lieutenant colonel (later Brigadier General Dana Born), was at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and had no idea what was happening until it was over. Their father raced through gridlocked traffic to find them.
A few days later he took Hanna back — not to scare her, but so she could see recovery workers still digging, still showing up.
That daycare closed in 2004. The memory did not.
Hanna graduated from the Air Force Academy. Today she is a Captain and TH-1H Huey instructor pilot at Fort Rucker, training the next generation of Army helicopter pilots.
On September 11, 2025 she started running.
2,977 miles. One for every person murdered that day.
She averages just over 8 miles a day. With every mile she says a name out loud.
She once heard that people die twice: once when they stop breathing, and again the last time someone says their name.
Her goal is simple. Make sure that second death never happens.
She finishes the last mile on September 11, 2026 — exactly 25 years after she was carried out of a hallway she barely remembers.
2,977 miles.
2,977 names.
One woman who was too young to understand what happened to her, now old enough to make sure no one else forgets.
Never Forget.
For the last 9-months, my wife, Brooklyn has been pregnant with a very sick baby boy. Three or four months ago, we learned that the baby had severe hydrocephalus. Back in the old days, hydrocephalus was called, 'water on the brain' - too much brain fluid. Ultimately, we were referred to Cincinnati Children's Hospital, where we were told by several of the most highly regarded fetal specialists in the country that his condition was dire. The baby's condition was 'off the charts bad'. It was so extreme that the specialists stopped measuring and monitoring his fluid level because, at that point, it didn't really matter. The MRI's were sickening to look at.
We were told, pointblank, that there was over a 90% chance that the baby would either die shortly after birth or have such severe cognitive impairments that any quality of life would be hard to imagine. We had a meeting with palliative care regarding the use of life sustaining measures and had detailed, awful, and emotional discussions about the ethics of when we might need to remove or cease such measures - which would result in the baby 'passing away peacefully'.
Brooklyn relocated to Cincinnati and lived in a hotel close to the hospital - in case she went into labor. I commuted back and forth. On July 8th, Brooklyn did indeed go into labor. Literally, 15 minutes before they wheeled her back to start the C-section, we had another meeting with doctors regarding the use of a breathing tube and at what point we might need to remove that tube and let the baby go to Heaven. Guess what? The baby came out crying - which was the sweetest sound I ever heard.
In a nutshell, Charlie Schnarr stayed in infant intensive care until yesterday - when we all came home. He seems to be a normal, beautiful baby doing all the things that babies do. He has mild ventricular enlargement, but we can deal with that with checkups.
How did this happen?!
The doctors said, 'We do not have and cannot come up with a medical explanation for what we've witnessed here'. Somehow his brain found a way to naturally clear the blockage or re-route the fluid that was causing the oppressive back up of brain fluid. During the last week, I heard the words, 'divine intervention' and 'miracle' more times than I could count. Nurses with decades of experience and esteemed, nationally admired doctors were flabbergasted but jubilant. Because of the domino effect of friends, family, clients, colleagues and even strangers praying and asking others to pray for us, I do not doubt that there were thousands of people praying for us.
I'm a practical person that certainly believes in science and medical technology, but I absolutely know, from the bottom of my heart, that God was involved in this. I give ALL of the credit and glory to Him. Prayer is positively powerful. God is real, and He still performs miracles."

🇺🇸 Two days after the towers fell, a laborer from Local 731 named Frank Silecchia was working in what was left of 6 World Trade Center when he stopped.
Standing almost upright in the pit was a 17-foot cross of North Tower steel. Two I-beams, still joined the way they had been in the building. It leaned about fifteen degrees. Insulation hung off the crosspiece like a shroud.
Silecchia went to his knees. He later said he cried for twenty minutes. Then he spray-painted an arrow on a nearby wall and the words GOD’S HOUSE.
There was no symmetry left on the pile except that. Firefighters, cops, and ironworkers came down into the hole to look at it. They wrote names and unit numbers in marker on the steel. An FBI chaplain said he had not seen anything like it on the whole site. A veteran firefighter who had been digging for his son pointed at it and called it his angel.
On October 3, 2001, a crane lifted it onto a pedestal at the edge of the old plaza. The next day Father Brian Jordan blessed it with holy water. Giuliani’s office had already signed off. Jordan said Mass at its base every Sunday for months. The crowd grew from a few dozen to hundreds. Families left photographs. Someone wrote GOD BLESS OUR FALLEN BROTHERS down one side.
They moved it when the east side of the site had to be cleared. First to Church and Cortlandt in February 2002, then the west wall of St. Peter’s in October 2006, three blocks away. Ironworkers sang God Bless America as the flatbed rolled.
On July 23, 2011, Jordan blessed it again in Zuccotti Park. A crane lowered it seventy feet through a hole in the concrete, into the museum that was still being built around it. Atheists sued to keep it out. Two federal courts said it was history, not an establishment of religion.
It is still there.
🚨 JD Vance just went HARD after Abdul El-Sayed for smacktalking his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance
"My message to Abdul El-Sayed is, you can pal around with terrorist sympathizers, and you can say that America deserved 9/11...
These are all despicable things, but they are all things that the people of Michigan will judge you on based on your record. But I actually think that the people of Michigan think it's kind of weird when you talk about another guy's wife."
"But whatever you want to talk about, Abdul, keep my wife's name the HELL out of your mouth, because she's WAY out of your league."
