@lizard_barnacle Both my parents only got to secondary school (no high school) as well as any immediate family. Interesting to know that I would (probably) be first gen (college, masters, PhD) from any consideration. It has been a difficult road.
It has been a long while since I've listened to my PhD supervisor, Paul Kubes, giving a talk. Today's talk at Granulocyte 2023 brings me back and most of the data today were from fellow students/postdocs back in the day when I was in his lab. #TheGranulocyteMeeting@Kubes_Lab
Flew 30 hours from Immcg, Augusta, USA to attend the first 2023 Granulocyte conference. First talk keynote speaker is Andres Hidalgo. Fantastic speech so far and looking forward to rest of talks #TheGranulocyteMeeting
@xiaoqin_wei @MauroCorradoBio@Jie_Immunology very interesting! will try it out as well.

2 PM Update on Hurricane Henri. Tropical Storm force winds should reach the south coast around lunchtime on Sunday. Here is the probability of TS force winds through 8 PM on Monday.
@bananafofanaa Thanks for the advice. Will it be that bad? ๐ฐI guess I had better charge up those flashlights and fill up whatever water containers I can.
Hurricane category I Henri will be having landfall in New England on Sunday. Despite living in many countries, it's my first experience with a hurricane - I don't really know if I should prepare for it somehow? A bit worried, definitely no street parking for my vehicle at least..
During pre-vaccine Covid-19 last year when labs were shut down, I wanted to do be productive besides analyzing data I had - which led to this minireview. It was a lot of work and I would like to thank the editors Josephine and Kirk as well as reviewers for their help and comments
While these findings were observed using mice models, which might not fully replicate the large variety of human glomerulonephritides, intravital microscopy of the murine renal system has contributed to mechanistic understanding in the role of neutrophils in human kidney disease.
