Following recurrent inquiries from prospective applicants regarding the requirements for the Basic Paramilitary Screening, all applicants who successfully scale through the CBT phase of the screening exercise are hereby informed that they will be required to present the underlisted items for the physical screening:

21. Electric boiling rings and any form of heating appliances are prohibited.

All successful applicants are advised to make adequate preparations and ensure that the required items are available before reporting for the physical screening.

NIGERIAN ARMY OPENS APPLICATION FOR SHORT SERVICE COMBATANT COMMISSION COURSE 50/2027

The Nigerian Army has opened applications for the Short Service Combatant Commission (SSCC) Course 50/2027, inviting eligible Nigerians to apply for commission as officers. The recruitment exercise is open to qualified civilians and serving military personnel who meet the stipulated requirements.

Successful candidates will undergo military training and, upon commissioning, serve in the Nigerian Army’s Combat Arms, including the Infantry and Armour Corps, as well as Combat Support Arms, comprising Artillery, Engineers, Signals and Intelligence Corps.

Prospective applicants are required to visit the official Nigerian Army recruitment portal, https://t.co/dyYAGHE2HG, select the SSCC option and carefully follow the application instructions.

The Nigerian Army urged applicants to rely only on information published through its official recruitment channels. The application deadline is Saturday, October 17, 2026.

We are officially 14 days away from the Osun State governorship election! Here’s my take on where this race will be won, lost & decided:

🔴The Geographical Battlegrounds

✅Osun Central (D Main swing zone): Osogbo & Olorunda hold the biggest chunk of votes. Osogbo voters don't do blind loyalty, they vote based on salary issues, city development & candidate appeal. If you secure a massive lead in Osogbo/Olorunda & hold Ila and Ikirun, you’re halfway in the government house.

✅Osun West: This is Governor Ademola Adeleke's backyard (Ede North & South). The Accord's goal here is simple: turn out massive numbers to build a heavy lead. For APC to stay alive, they must crack Ede's margin by pulling huge numbers from Iwo, Ejigbo & Ayedaade.

✅Osun East (Ife-Ijesha Axis): Split between Ilesa & Ife. Ife especially brings insane numbers to the table. Whoever aligns better with key local figures & royal structures in Ife usually gets the boost they need to pull away.

🔴What Will Actually Decide the Winner

✅Civil Servants & Pensioners: Osun is a civil service state, period. Regular salary payments & pension arrears dictate how entire households vote.

✅State Power vs. Federal Might: It’s Adeleke’s grassroots popularity & state machinery against APC’s federal backing and strategic election day deployment.

✅Party Unity & Defections: Margins in Osun are always razor-thin. One aggrieved chieftain pulling out or defecting with 10,000 votes can instantly ruin a party's chances.

✅Ground Game & Logistics: High turnout in Osogbo, Ede, Ilesa & Iwo favors whoever actually gets people off their phones and into the polling units.

✅At the end of the day, forget any talk of a landslide. Whoever wins this election will likely win by less than 20,000 votes.

Adeleke enters as the favorite thanks to Ede and civil servants, but APC has a real shot at an upset if they play their Osogbo and federal cards right.

He actually told his driver not to look back...hidden facts you never knew about Pa Abraham Adesanya

Pa Abraham Adesanya knew how tough his journey would be. So he got ahead of his future enemies. In an interview recently, his eldest son, Pa Adebayo, narrated the true event of January 14, 1997 and another incident during his father's days as senator.
Hear him:

"I remember what you want to say, he left office and he was on his way to Otta in Ogun State for a case. What happened was that I couldn’t take my son to school that day as usual because I wasn’t feeling well and he volunteered to take him to school inside Bonny Camp.

My father was oblivious of the dãnger ahead of him that day. The gate of Bonny Camp was blocked that day, which was unusual, so he came down from the car and took the boy to school before setting out to Otta for the case after picking one or two things in his office, mostly his law books.

On his way, he told the driver to buy fuel at a filling station in Sura on Lagos Island but the driver insisted that the fuel in the car was okay to take them to Otta and back. My father warned the driver that he r!sked being sacked should they run out of fuel during the trip.

They passed through the station but unknown to them, Sergeant Rogers and his boys had decided to lay an ambush for them at the filling station. Sensing that my father’s vehicle won’t stop by to refuel, Rogers and his boys now decided to pursue Baba shøøting sporadically into his car. My father sat at the back as usual and everyone within the vicinity scampered to safety.

Rogers and his boys thought with the intensity of the attãck that there was no way my father would have survived but he survived without a scratch. What the driver told us was that Daddy told him not to look back when the firing was on. In the end, they didn’t go to Otta and they had to turn back and return to the office.

HIS DAYS AS SENATOR FROM 1979

He was a thorn to the flesh of the ruling party, which was the NPN to the extent that one day when he was coming home in the evening he was waylaid by some thügs who tried to k!ll him for opposing and frustrãting the passage of a bill which he said was bad for the common man.

When his assa!lants shøt at him several times and the bullets didn’t penetrãte, they had to break the bottle on his head resulting in serious injur!es. We were at home that day and we didn’t even know that daddy was the person who they were fighting.

I just peeped through the window and I saw him in the middle of three or four men. They shøt at him. No way. They used cutlasses but he took it from them and flung it away. We were watching them. When they could not hãrm him, they just broke a bottle on his head and they left."

👉He loved moin moin and pap for breakfast, eba with any soup for afternoon or evening.
👉He had electric wire which he used to punish his children when they erred.

👉He met Obafemi Awolowo and his wife coincidentally on a ship in which he was traveling abroad to study law. Their bond became strong from then.
👉He was the first lawyer to go to court to defend Awolowo in the treasønable feløny charge against him.
👉He refused to apply to be a Senior Advocate even though he was a successful lawyer.
👉His father, Oloye Ezekiel, was a strong traditional healer.
👉He was born on this day, July 24, 1922. So, he would have been 104 years old today.

He Waited till I was in 400 level to give me an F. He had his story published on BBC because they set him up with a woman who had a spy camera. When She went to his office, he made a very cold statement. He said “I pity fine girls like you because you are all vulnerable”.
