This video isn’t mine. Kei Sugimoto, a 24-year-old Japanese guy, filmed it from a rooftop about 3 km from the towers. He picked up the camera after the second plane hit. That same day he tried to hand it over. They refused to take it.

23 years later he found the deteriorating tapes and published them. A witness archive almost disappeared forever. That’s why I’m sharing it: not for the morbid curiosity, but because this story almost stayed locked in a closet.

She was traveling aboard United Airlines Flight 175 with her mother, Ruth, on their way to visit family in California when the plane was hijacked and crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center.

Juliana is remembered as a bright and joyful little girl who loved Disney princesses and brought happiness to the people around her. Her young life and the dreams she never had the opportunity to fulfill represent the profound innocence lost on that tragic day. Her story remains one of the most heartbreaking reminders that the attacks affected people of every age.

Today, Juliana Valentine McCourt is remembered with love, tenderness, and honor. Her name remains among those we speak so that her short but precious life will never be forgotten. We remember Juliana, her mother, and every innocent life lost on September 11, 2001.
