About 2.4 billion of birds are killed each year by cats in the U.S. and 3 billion birds have disappeared within North America. We can be the change and decrease this number! #WhatIlearnedin39C

In my AP, I mentioned The Migratory Bird Treaty Act and mentioned how "This law has been enforcing common sense towards this creature because of the impact they struggle through climate change and biodiversity" #39canimals

This issue that I included in my AP is about the increase in mortalities from birds crashing into buildings and being blinded by lights while migrating. #39canimals

Another example from the issues about birds is from The Humane Society of the United States speaking on how "crows, most likely, tend to look into trash bins, any compost, or any food that may be laying around even dog food". #39canimals

One of the issues I found was about the threats to birds that are surprising, "some of the issues are industrial farming, logging, invasive species, hunting and trapping, and climate change that are affecting birds’ lives" which I included in my AP. #39canimals

This quarantine is just one slight possible way we can understand how animals who are in captivity feel. They deserve to be in the wild and live freely. #39canimals

I heard of animals having the risk of disease but, reading this does reflect the increase in danger stray dogs especially. #39canimals

#39canimals The longer stray dogs are outside trying to survive, the greater the risk of exposure they get to potentially severe diseases like Leishmaniasis which they are capable of transmitting across species to humans

seeing this decline and endangerment of an intelligent and similar species to homo sapiens is the start to spreading the word. #39canimals

At the turn of the 20th century, wild chimpanzee populations were estimated to be over 1 million, today the populations of chimpanzees outside captivity have dropped to just around 172,000 (State of the Chimpanzee) #39canimals

Reading about the horrifying killings and mistreatment of innocent animals is creating advocacy for them and their future generations. #39canimals

Unfortuntely there are many homeless dogs who become very weak and skinny and now reading this is caused by breeding is just heartbreaking ! #39canimals

#39canimals One of the problems I researched caused by breeding is overpopulation - many homeless dogs are "on the streets, sometimes dying before ever reaching a shelter, because “only 1 out of every 10 dogs born will find a permanent home” (The Mosby Foundation)."
