At first I thought peer review would be a tedious task, but i’ve learned that it’s actually very helpful because you can learn more about writing as you go over someone else’s and it helps you evaluate your own & develop perspective of your content #WhatIlearnedin39C #39canimals

A while back I tweeted this Safina quote and I find this to be such an important quote when discussing the effects of elephant poaching on elephant societies.

Matriarchs are of the utmost importance to the elephant family. They are the leaders who have great amount of knowledge consisting of the location resources and an extensive social network. The killing of an elephant not only ends its life but disrupts an entire family
