KISM 🇰🇪 (Kenya TVET),
Admission open,
DIploma and Certificate,
Hear from me as KISM Alumni of Cartography, the courses listed (see attached) are very competitive. Admission is based on facilities. The college is well organised under State Department, JICA when funding it; equipped it to excellency. Inside Accomodation and Meals are offered, 1st come - 1st served basis. The college hosts the Government tittling centre. It is opposite Survey of Kenya, Government mapping authority, you start feeling one of them early enough.
The affordable housing and general housing under Sectional Property Act shall require Geospatial technicians to implement its components into Ardhisasa system. Work is 'creating' itself for Geospatials. It is boiling nicely.
A new trend that i have seen with Gen Z, some complete the Diploma in KISM and join Law degree. Over time one is a Surveyor and a Lawyer/Advocate in Land matters. They open an office, add a Valuer and a Physical Planner and become fully "landed" office. Gen Z are changing the landscape already just as technology in Geospatial is changing.
Director of Surveys, the Government authorised "signature" of Land matters is focused on ensuring as many as possible surveyors are licensed. Same licensed surveyors require Assistants, often Diploma holders under them. Join KISM, start working under licensed surveyors till they approve you as "Approved Assistant".
I encourage Women to apply. Women are about 20-35% in Surveying and mapping workforce. This reflects the regional data of 33% Women in STEM. Women think along this field.
Proudly KISM Alumni.
@AIRTEL_KE, how long does it take to get an eSIM? Submitted a request to one of your agents at 12.30 pm. I was told my eSIM card would take 2 hours. It's now 6 pm, and no eSIM yet. Called customer care, and the Airtel agent's request is pending approval from the Parkside office.

📚New Policy Brief: Examining the Implementation Experience of Primary Healthcare Networks in Kenya
Kenya has scaled up nearly 200 Primary Healthcare Networks nationwide as part of its Universal Health Coverage reforms. This policy brief reviews early progress, noting strong political commitment and a solid policy framework, but highlighting gaps in governance, financing, digitization, and integration. The brief offers recommendations to strengthen PCN design and capacity for more equitable, integrated healthcare.
The brief is part of a series from a @gatesfoundation funded study on PHC financing and reforms jointly developed by the @HERU_KEMRI_WT at @KEMRI_Wellcome and @ThinkWellGlobal.
