168 @UN member states voted yesterday in favour of an independent state of #Palestine, in recognition of Palestinian right to self determination. The #US which only last Wednesday stressed that the "conflict on the Gaza Strip must end with a two-state solution," voted against alongside #Israel.
Based on his actions before and after October 7, I have no faith that Prime Minister Netanyahu will protect Israelis, prioritize the release of hostages, abide by humanitarian rules of war in Gaza or respect human rights in the West Bank or earnestly work to prevent escalation.
