An investigation by the Israeli outlet HaMakom (המקום הכי חם בגיהנום) reports that soldiers from the Nahal Brigade’s 50th Battalion found an elderly Palestinian woman in a combat zone in Gaza and decided to evacuate her.

She was bound and blindfolded and placed in a military vehicle with three soldiers. According to testimony collected by HaMakom, the officer accompanying her received a phone call, stopped the vehicle, took the elderly woman out, and shot her dead.

One soldier described it as “the execution of an elderly woman who was supposed to be evacuated.”

My guess is that the frontier labs and the govt strategic planners know that LLMs are not going to lead to AGI... BUT they may become good enough at cyber warfare that, if the US can get far enough ahead, they will be able to penetrate and cripple Chinese computer systems at will
