I just received word that Telstra Satellite Messaging is now available for iPhones running the latest software update iOS 18.5
(Previously only Samsung S25 range)
To enable, update your compatible handset to iOS 18.5, then go to Settings>Mobile >Mobile data options and ensure Satellite is on.
Out of range with a clear view to the sky, “Telstra SpaceX” will come up in the network banner and you can send and receive messages.

@1800weevil @FarmerTonyWhite @KondininGroup @Telstra When I went through to mobile data options it wasn’t there. However 2 mins later it said network provider updates are available then it updated and added the satellite option. Lets hope that helps us in the country 🤞

@Telstra @yarramundafarm1 I have an Telstra are in denial that 3G hasn’t affected service in rural areas. 3/4 of the trip between Miling and Moora is now a dead zone. Where is the investment in more towers in rural areas. Telstra would prefer us to all get starlink mobile so we aren’t your problem anymore
