It’s deeply troubling that emerging technology can be used to extract CVR audio from visualized data we share to help the public understand the circumstances of an accident.
Laws against releasing CVR audio exist to protect privacy, preserve the integrity of NTSB investigations, and out of respect for accident victims and their families during a time of tremendous loss.
NTSB is taking steps to address this issue. The public docket is offline for now, and we are urging X, Reddit, and others to take such disgusting, manipulated posts down. ⬇️

I saw Minecraft in the theater with my kids last night and am still processing what I saw. The only cinematic experience I can compare the audience participation to is Rocky Horror, except it’s with teenagers and their phones and the movie is not even a weekend old.
@ameeri359@flightradar24 Preliminary reports are what we know happened. Final reports get to the why. We know the crew discussed icing and the use of Engine anti-ice, we also know that shortly after that discussion, the pumps were turned off. We know the sequence. We don’t know the root cause.
